Earth Day is April 22nd, but here at Nature Bridges, we celebrate the Earth every day! We understand how important it is to keep our environment healthy and happy, which is why our bridge construction is completed in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We use a technique called Top-Down Construction. This means we use lightweight hydraulic material and equipment that stays on the top of the structure during construction. Nature Bridges completes pedestrian boardwalk at South Chickamauga Creek Greenway in Chattanooga, Tennessee

Nature Bridges (www.NatureBridges.com), the Award Winning boardwalk and timber bridge contractor, has completed a pedestrian boardwalk at the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway Trail in March of 2016. The South Chickamauga Creek Greenway project has been in the works since 1994. Organizations in Chattanooga have worked long and hard to acquire land easements in order to create this large system of parks and greenways. The new boardwalks overlook forested creek banks and the paved paths are perfect for biking along the scenic trail. Nature Bridges, one of the nation’s most prominent boardwalk and bridge builders, has won the Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Eagle Award. Monticello, FL October, 2015 – JD James, Inc. d/b/a Nature Bridges www.naturebridges.com, wins the 2015 Excellence in Construction Eagle Award from the North Florida Associated Builders and Contractors for the construction of a twelve-foot-wide asphalt trail that features three timber pedestrian bridges, a timber overlook platform, and a 270-foot free-span bridge at George Pierce Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Free Span Bridge at Ivy Creek Greenway Park

Nature Bridges, one of the nation’s prominent bridge builders completed construction of the free span bridge at Ivy Creek Greenway Trail in Gwinnett County, GA. This beautiful and very functional trail system will be used by school groups that visit the Environmental and Heritage Center that connects with another nature trail through the Wayne Hill Water resources Center site. There are plans in the future to connect the greenway to an existing section at George Pierce Park to create seven miles of continuous biking and walking opportunities. Pedestrian Timber Truss Bridge at Lafayette Heritage Park

Nature Bridges, the Award Winning boardwalk and timber bridge contractor, completed a free-span pedestrian railroad overpass, pedestrian timber truss bridge, and boardwalks at beautiful Lafayette Heritage Park in Tallahassee, FL. The canopy system was completed on December 9, 2013, taking 7 months to complete. Nature Bridges designed and constructed a 10’ wide x 133’ long steel free-span railroad pedestrian overpass with 715 total lineal feet of pedestrian truss bridge approaches. Award winning Nature Bridges has completed this beautiful river house on the Ichetucknee River. Nature Bridges constructed 400 lf of 6’ wide elevated bridge. This project also includes a screened living area as well as a 10’ x 10’ riverside overlook with stairs leading down to a 10’ x 10’ swim platform. Nature Bridges used their top down construction method on this project. We use lightweight hydraulic impact and material handling equipment in combination with hand driven auger machines.
