While doing your part to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by practicing social distancing, remember you don’t have to be stuck inside! Too much isolation can start to take a toll on all of us. There are parks open that allow you to enjoy nature and get some physical activity and fresh air – from a safe distance. Just make sure to check your local park is still open before heading out, and remember to follow social distancing requirements to keep at least six feet between you and others. Did you know research shows that spending time in nature can benefit your health and well-being, especially with stress reduction and mood enhancement? Nature Bridges has worked on projects in many beautiful parks across the country that are perfect locations for you to get out, get active, and de-stress. Check out your nearest park or trail if you can during this time of social distancing, and most importantly if you are feeling ill, please be sure to stay home and follow recommendations from the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus
