The giving season has arrived with the spirit of Thanksgiving! We would like to thank all non-profit organizations that contribute to the health, wealth, and safety of the world every day. Check out one of the many amazing non-profits Nature Bridges is thankful for this month.
The Lunch Project
“We power community-driven lunch programs in Tanzania, giving kids the fuel to learn so they can transform their communities.”
The Lunch Project was founded by Rebecca Wofford, who felt compelled to make a difference in the Maasai community when she realized malnutrition was preventing students from staying in school and completing their education. Nature Bridges has been partnering with The Lunch Project for over three years to support their efforts in providing hot meals for school children in Tanzania.
Our team was introduced to The Lunch Project by our partner Jeremy Spinks with BowStern. Jeremy introduced us to The Lunch Project by contributing to them in our name for Christmas, and we were so happy to be helping these children that we have continued to contribute ever since.
The Difference
It may sound shocking, but $100 a day can feed an entire school in a Maasai community. Your contributions help employ parents, who cook hot lunches for students. We support The Lunch Project because we believe in their mission and their efforts to help children complete primary school by providing meals. The Lunch Project successfully feeds over 4,000 children per day.
Tackling Hunger
With efforts from major contributors and different communities from all over the world, The Lunch Project has been able to positively affect so many lives. If you are interested in supporting The Lunch Project, learn how to get involved today. In the month of November, we encourage you to help those in need by supporting organizations like The Lunch Project that are making a difference in the community. Thanks for joining us in the giving-spirit this month!
