As a company that builds in environmentally sensitive areas, we take pride in the structures we build and the natural habitats we help protect. We particularly enjoy seeing more of our wonderful country and meeting new people when we travel for projects. Although Nature Bridges is based in Florida, we have built in the following 18 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. We would really like to add another state to that list in 2019, so hopefully we can make it happen […]

Do those characteristics fit you and are you in search of advice from a successful entrepreneur? Nature Bridges is a division of JD James, Inc. and we are a woman owned business headquartered in North Florida. It all began in 1997 when April James and her husband, JD, decided […]

What We’re Made Of
At Nature Bridges, we want to build you a bridge that will last a lifetime (or longer). Preserving Nature’s Habitats and the Animals Within Them
Our New Smyrna Dunes project was a satisfying one to complete, and that’s not just because the views were great. The project took a year to complete, but we were able to create a beautiful walkway leading to one of Florida’s most beautiful beaches. The sand dunes in New Smyrna Beach are a natural barrier, protecting homes and businesses from coastal water damage. As we began constructing this project using our Top Down Construction method, we noticed a few friendly animals in the area. Beach Mice and Gopher Tortoises! These wonderful creatures call the dunes home, […]
