This April 22nd marks 51 years of Earth Day, a day of celebration for the crew here at Nature Bridges. Earth Day is all about being conscious of how our actions impact the environment and the planet as a whole. As a company specializing in top-down construction aimed at preserving environmentally sensitive areas, environmental consciousness has always been an important part of the Nature Bridges mission. We believe that building a beautiful bridge, walkway, or structure should serve to compliment the surrounding area without compromising the habitat around it. Our top-down construction method involves building structures using lightweight hydraulic impact and material handling equipment that stays on top of the structure during construction. In fact, nothing touches the ground except for our crew, so we can continue to protect existing landscapes and avoid disturbing vegetation and wildlife habitats. How YOU Can Keep Nature Clean
While protecting the environment is something to think about every day, Earth Day is a great reminder to consider how we all impact the planet and what we can do better. From organizing community cleanups and picking up trash on your favorite nature trails to composting and planting trees, there are many ways to make a difference. Here are a few small steps we can all take to help keep our environment clean:
- Reduce your use of single-use items, like plastic straws and utensils
- Bring reusable bags with you when you go shopping
- Invest in a reusable water bottle
- Shop in bulk to reduce packaging, or purchase packaging-free items
- Reduce, reuse, and recycle your products
Nature Bridges thanks you for doing your part in helping keep nature clean this Earth Day and every day.
