Did you know that May is National Bike Month? Biking is a fun, low-impact activity that’s also a great cardiovascular exercise and perfect for all ages. Plus, as we’re all practicing social distancing, it’s a safe way to get outdoors for some healthy movement in the fresh air. To celebrate National Bike Month, Nature Bridges is featuring several of our favorite locations throughout the country with excellent biking trails and pathways. Check them out below and plan out your next ride!
South Chickamauga Creek Greenway – Chattanooga, TN
The South Chickamauga Creek Greenway offers a large system of connected trails and greenways. Its paved paths and boardwalks overlook stunning views of lush trees and creek banks, making it the perfect setting for a nice ride.
Salinas Park – Cape San Blas, FL
Another great location to add to your list is Salinas Park in Gulf County, Florida. This waterfront park comes fully-equipped with a bike repair station, observation platforms, shade pavilions and more. Plus, you’ll also have access to the nearby, 8-mile Loggerhead Run Bike Path for even more stunning views.
Lafayette Heritage Park – Tallahassee, FL
Lafayette Heritage Park in Tallahassee, Florida offers multiple trail and terrain options. Whether you’re looking for a smooth bike path or a more advanced bike path, like Cadillac Mountain Bike trail, Lafayette Heritage Park has it all. This park is located on beautiful Lake Lafayette where cyclists can stop to observe a variety of native wildlife.
