Nature Bridges, one of the nation’s most prominent boardwalk and bridge builders, has won the Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction Eagle Award.

Monticello, FL October, 2015 – JD James, Inc. d/b/a Nature Bridges www.naturebridges.com, wins the 2015 Excellence in Construction Eagle Award from the North Florida Associated Builders and Contractors for the construction of a twelve-foot-wide asphalt trail that features three timber pedestrian bridges, a timber overlook platform, and a 270-foot free-span bridge at George Pierce Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

The ABC’s Excellence in Construction has become the premier competition within the construction industry that recognizes outstanding construction projects across the nation. The Excellence in Construction award is presented on a bi-annual basis to contractors who excel in various types of construction projects.

Nature Bridges was contracted by Astra Group to construct a 12’ wide x 270’ long free-span bridge with 173 total lineal feet of top-down pedestrian timber bridges and overlook within the trail system. The trail system stretches 4.4 miles and is located near the Mall of Georgia.

In addition to the Excellence in Construction Award, Nature Bridges was also awarded a Platinum Safety Award from ABC. The Safety Award recognizes companies who establish rigorous safety practices and policies to ensure a safe work environment for their employees. “Our employees are our largest asset.
